FROM THE FINANCE MINISTRY You will have received a follow-up letter for the 2005 Stewardship
Drive by the time you read this article. We have been fortunate to have
outstanding staff, facilities, and programs serving the spiritual needs of
our community. The dollar response to the first Stewardship drive was not
sufficient to continue this programming level. If you have returned your
revised pledge, we say thank you. If your revised pledge card is still
sitting on the kitchen counter, we prayerfully ask you to return the
revised pledge card in the return envelop sent to you in the second
letter. We still have one month to go in our 2004 calendar year. You will be
receiving a statement from our church accountant in the next week showing
your 2004 pledge and giving through the end of November. Please review
this statement at your earliest convenience. If you have questions on any
numbers, please document your question and contact our church accountant,
Caroline Stacke. If your weekly or monthly giving is less than your
pledge, please try to make up the balance in December. If you pledged
annually and have not given this amount, please try to contribute this
amount within the next 10 days. We will be following up with all pledges
before the end of December. During the summer months our expenses exceeded our income. We saw a
gain in October and November. Again, we thank you for your financial
stewardship in 2004 and look forward to a good year in 2005. We wish
everyone a happy holiday season and look forward to the many events we
share at Prairie Church during the special time of the year when we
celebrate Christ’s birth.

Thanks to: The Connect Club for raking the leaves on the church lawn, for the wonderful banner about things in our church that were important to them, and for donating seven LARGE grocery bags of good to PROP. To the Prairie Church youth who reminded us of homeless and hungry people by sleeping in boxes on the front lawn of the church. Their challenge helped collect food and money for the work of PROP. Thanks to Bruce Webster and Terri Myers for serving as chaperones for the “Box Night”. All who gave gifts for the work of PROP. In October you gave $3,160.75 and 853 pounds of food. WOW! Our Boy Scout Troop, #342 who planted an Autumn Blaze Maple on the lawn in honor of our 150th Year. The tree is planted straight ahead of the Visitor Parking Area. We received thanks from The City of Eden Prairie “Thank you so very much for use of your facility as a polling place during the 2004 elections! The availability of your facility is so important for the election process in our community.” …..Kathleen Porta, City Clerk
