HABITAT FOR HUMANITY PROJECTS
This year’s build date: August 10-14, 2009 - Minneapolis ! EPUMC has been involved with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity for many years. The goal of Habitat is to provide simple, decent, affordable housing to families who could otherwise never purchase a home. Our church has worked on several sites including Golden Valley, Heritage Park in Minneapolis and Chaska. For over 12 years we have partnered with Common Ground, a coalition of Eden Prairie churches. Last year Common Ground disbanded. For 2009 we will be working on a house in Minneapolis in conjunction with St. Luke’s Presbyterian. You don’t have to be a carpenter to help on a Habitat build! All skill levels will be put to good use . In addition, we need people to bring lunch and to help organize. For more information on this year’s build contact Laura Durant (952-303-3489, lasweeny@yahoo.com). For more information on Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, visit their web site at http://www.tchabitat.org.
